An Easy Strawberry Shortcake Recipe with a Delicious Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

For cake:

  • All purpose flour - 2 1/2 cups

  • Baking Powder - 3 tsps

  • Salt - ½ tsp

  • Granulated sugar - 1 3/4 cups

  • Vegetable oil - ½ cup

  • Eggs - 2(room temperature)

  • Egg whites - 2(room temperature)

  • Pure vanilla extract - 2 ½ tsps

  • Sour cream - ⅔ cup


For cream cheese:

  • Cream cheese - 8 oz.

  • Powdered sugar - 1 cup

  • Vanilla extract - ¾ tsp

  • Heavy whipping cream - 2 ¼ cups
